Diet Myth-DeBunked!

Myth:Grapefruit will speed up your metabolism
We’ve all heard of the grapefruit diet, the lemon juice diet and a number of other diets that focus on the “secret ingredient” or “magical compound” found in certain foods. Unfortunately, there is no magic bullet to weight loss. There is no food that will help you burn more calories. The only surefire way to speed up your metabolism is to exercise and build muscle.

Solution:
Cooking/preparing your foods properly (steaming veggies instead of boiling) so that you are able to retain all of the nutrients. 

Experience teaches slowly and at the cost of mistakes.

My name is Amy Parsons.  I am currently attending the Medix school in London Ontario in the Professional Fitness Consultant program!  In less then two months I will be finished my in class time in the course and i am very excited to be able to spend more time at the gym.  I am very eager to induldge in this profession and help my clients not only to form smart goals for both during the training process and over all outcome goals but also strengthen their minds to focus on their holistic health in every apect.  I have very strong focuses on my clients mental states before, during, and after their exercise program.  I have this because I strongly believe that this is crucial to be sucessful not only in reaching fitness goals but also the outlook on their quality of life itself.
